Mrs. Carol Sue Eldreth Blevins age 71, of Lansing, NC died Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Blevins was born May 11, 1945 in Ashe County to Oscar and Frankie Ham Eldreth. Mrs. Blevins was preceded in death by her parents, son, Donnie Blevins, sister, Helen Osborne and brother, Worth Eldreth. Mrs. Blevins was a member of Shelter Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and served as treasurer. She also volunteered at the fire department and area churches. She had a special gift for working with children. She enjoyed scrapbooking, photographs and ancestry.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Mike McElhaney and Rev. Dean Watson. Burial will follow in Scott-Blevins Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, December 16, 2016 at Badger Funeral Home.

Mrs. Blevins is survived by: Husband, Charles Blevins, Two Sons, Phillip Blevins and wife Amy of Lewisville and Keith Blevins and wife Shannon of West Jefferson, Daughter, Christy Poe and husband Mitchell of Crumpler, Brother, Johnny Eldreth of Warrensville, four sisters, Opal Hogan of Mt. Holly, Ruth Hall of Marion, VA, Elsie Trivette of West Jefferson and Mary Jordan of Fleetwood, sister-in-law, Francis Eldreth, brother-in-law, Ed Osborne, grandchildren, Cody Blevins, Autumn Poe, Erin Blevins, Colin Blevins, Ashton Poe, Owen Blevins & Connor Blevins, also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Flowers will be appreciated, or memorials may be made to Shelter Baptist Church, 421 Oscar Day Rd., Jefferson, NC 28640.
