Ex-Cigar Maker Dies in Florida
Word was received here yesterday of the death of Patrick J. Burgess, former Rochesterian and one-time cigar maker.
He died at his home in St. Petersburg, Fla., Monday (July 25, 1955) at the age of 97. Mr. Burgess had made his home in Florida for the last 13 years with his daughter, Miss Mary E. Burgess.
He retired about 30 years ago from his trade of cigar-making.
In addition to his daughter, he is survived by two sons, James and Thomas, both of Rochester. His body will be returned here for burial at a time to be announced.
