Our beloved husband and father, Brent Thomas Clark, returned to his Heavenly Father on December 10, 2016 following a hard-fought battle with cancer. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.

Brent was born June 6, 1950 in Pocatello, Idaho to parents Joseph Oren Clark, Jr., and Wilma Bailey Clark. Brent spent his childhood and early adult years in Pocatello.

Brent loved the outdoors. He had fond memories of roaming the hills around their Pocatello home, jeeping and hunting with his friends. In his adult years, the scenic country of central Idaho became Brent's Disneyland. In 2005, Brent built his dream cabin in Bear Lake and that became his place to be.

Brent graduated from Idaho State University with a degree in Accounting. In 1986, Brent began his career as a Commercial Real Estate Appraiser. He was a respected appraiser and businessman and obtained the highest designation of MAI.

Brent served a mission in Sao Paulo Brazil for the LDS Church. He remained frequently involved in missionary work throughout his life. In 2006, Brent become involved in the Big Brother program, where he met and mentored Sami, a relationship he maintained until his passing. In 2007, Brent began his official calling as a service missionary for the Inner City Mission of the LDS Church. He loved this work and desired to serve in this capacity until he was no longer able.

Brent was a wonderful husband, father, brother, and friend — always generous, always accepting. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him. He is survived by his best friend, companion, and caretaker — his wife, Sheila Clark. He is also survived by his son, Brent Jason (Lauren Panas); daughter, Breanna (Ben Corless); and sister, Marae Holman. He also loved three grandchildren. Sami Ahmed became his honorary little brother/honorary adopted son. He was preceded in death by his son, Brandon Thomas Clark; and parents, Joseph Oren Clark, Jr., and Wilma Bailey Clark.

We would love to thank the family and friends who came to offer love and support this past year. We would also like to thank the doctors and caring nurses/staff of Huntsman Cancer Hospital for their care and support.

Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Sandy Granite Stake Center, 2535 East Newcastle Drive (9040 South), Sandy.
