Funeral services for S.A. Higginbotham, 80, who died at his home at Chulafinnee Sunday night following an illness of about two months, were held from the Chulafinnee Methodist church at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, Rev. L.D. Tyson of Anniston officiating, and interment was in Chulafinnee local cemetery, with Usrey of Anniston in charge. Surviving are two sons, W.F. of Anniston and R.L. of California, and a daughter Mrs. Ike Hayes of Bremen, Ga. (The Cleburne News, Heflin, AL, September 24, 1931)
