PALESTINE - Services for Charles Butler "C.B." Oliver, 85, Palestine, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home chapel, Palestine, with Dr. Edward Davis and the Rev. Randall Reeves officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Park.

Mr. Oliver died Jan. 10, 2007, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 13, 1921, in Angelina County to the late Charles Butler Sr. and Minnie Dorsett Oliver. He served in the Army's Cavalry and Air Corps, and retired as a letter carrier from the Postal Service. He was a member of Memory Lane Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by son, Rodney Bruce Oliver; sister, Pauline Harris; and brothers, Charles Ray Oliver, Glenn Oliver and Clarence Oliver.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Garner Oliver, Palestine; daughters, Sherry Brown and Debra Handorf, both of Palestine, Brenda Watson, Tyler, and Beverly Richmond, Flint; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Travis Richmond, Brady Watson, Matt Gray, Jason Moore, Scott Handorf, Wayne Oliver and Charles Oliver.

Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
