Wesley M. Lane, 86, passed away at 5:47 pm on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Wesley was born on March 19, 1930 in Decker the son of Denver and Ethel (Sullivan) Lane. He married Shirley Hoffman on July 31, 1960.
Wesley was a supervisor for Indiana Bell Telephone; a member of the 40 et 8, American Legion and enjoyed gardening and playing cards.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Lane of Vincennes; daughter, Michelle Horn and her husband Jay of Terre Haute; son, Darren Lane of Vincennes; sister, Dessie Sherman of Princeton; brother, Baxter Lane of Florida; and his grandchildren, Alexis Lane and Coleton Childers. Wesley was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Lane; and his brothers, Art, Walter, and Bernie Lane.
Graveside services for Wesley will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, December 16, 2016 at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery where the All-Weather Firing Squad will conduct military rites. There will be no visitation and Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home has been entrusted with Wesley’s final arrangements. On line condolences may be sent at www.gardnerbrockman.com.
