Melissa Gail Cunningham, 44, of Bland, Mo. passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016, at Boone Hospital in Columbia.
Melissa was born on January 7, 1972, to Irven Jr. and Eva (Sipes) Epperson. On February 11, 2004, in Owensville she was united in marriage to Gregory Cunningham. She was a member of Bland Christian Church. She loved spending time with her three dogs Missy, Gracie and Ben and her "Kitty." Melissa was full of life and always had a smile on her face. She loved her family and her pets with all that she had. Melissa was so excited about moving to Florida at the end of this month and the upcoming birth of her first grandchild in July 2017. Melissa was dearly loved and will be missed more than words will ever express.
Her survivors include her husband, Gregory of the home; parents, Irven "Carl" Jr. and Eva Epperson of Bland; parents-in-law, Jerry and Mary Cunningham of Owensville; son, Brendon Wiles and significant other, Karen Canell of Bland; daughter, Taylor Cunningham of Bland; sister, Dawn Hoss and husband, Timothy of Ft. Myers, Fla.; and soon to be first grandchild.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 16 from 4-8 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home Chapel in Owensville.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, December 17 at 10:30 a.m. at the Chapel in Owensville with Rev. Bruce Elmore officiating. Burial will be in Old Bland Cemetery near Bland.
