SAN ANTONIO -- Albert A. Schnelzer, age 90, died on January 9, 2007 in San Antonio.

Albert was born in Buffalo, New York on July 20, 1916 to Alma (Hurni) and Michael Schnelzer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marge, in 1996.

Albert and Marge were married on January 8, 1957 in Toledo, Ohio.

Also, preceding him in death was his only sister Evelyn.

He is survived by his son, Garry Schnelzer, daughter-in-law, Helen, and grandchildren, Douglas and Heather Schnelzer and his three great grandchildren.

He was a WW II Navy veteran and a life-long member of the American Legion. He held many leadership positions in the American Legion, including Post Commander. He was a life long salesman and early in his career worked as a regional sales manager for the DuPont Corporation and Wix Automotive Products. Later, he was sales manager for several large Memorial Park Cemeteries in North Carolina, Ohio and Texas. He retired in the mid-80's from Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery, Abilene, Texas.

Funeral services are 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 11, 2007 at the Porter Loring Chapel with interment to follow at the Elwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Abilene, Texas.
