Preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Irwin Nielsen, Brian was an only child. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette, children, Lana, Erik and Rene, and his grandchildren, Brianna, Eden, Avery, Hannah and Emanuel.
He leaves behind many friends and family who loved and cared for him. He was a beloved Dad, loving Papa, a Patriot, Vietnam Veteran, a great mechanic and an even better wood craftsman.
He was quiet and sometimes reserved but for those who got to know him knew he was a great man who was caring, had a great sense of humor, and would do anything for his family.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held in the summer of 2017 and Brian will ultimately be laid to rest at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery for Veterans in Dixon, CA.
