Phyllis J. Bell passed away Monday, December 12, 2016 in OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital surrounded by her family. She was 85.

She was born November 20, 1931 to parents Earl & Alice (Heslep) Poorman in Lexington. Phyllis graduated from Bellville High School with the class of 1949, and shortly after married Ray Bell in Los Angeles, California on May 30, 1952 and they shared 64 wonderful years of marriage until he passed away in May of 2016. They are together again.

Phyllis worked for Marman Industries in Los Angles, which was a Jet motor industry owned by Zeppo Marx and later at Westinghouse after moving back to Bellville. She retired from Westinghouse in 1990 with 30 years of service.

She is survived by her children Ronald Bell and Angie (Brett) Martin all of Bellville; grandchildren Ben and Lucas (Angel) Bell both of Mansfield, Kristy (Michael) Steer of Loudonville, Jeff (Laurie) Keller Bellevue, Wesley Martin of Bellville, and Leigha Martin of Mansfield; eight great grandchildren; brother Gary Poorman of Marion and sister-in-law Vera Walker of Bellville.

In addition to her loving husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her son Donald Bell; infant grandson Donnie Bell and sister and brother-in-law Lois and Tom Ritter of Lexington; sisters-in-law Lala (Carl) Griffith, Jackie (Russell) Kuelling; and brother-in-law Homer Walker.
