Mr. Kenneth Eugene Huffman, age 78, of Ararat, NC went to be with his lovely wife Clara Dell McCann Huffman on Friday evening December 9, 2016. He was born in Yadkin Co. on January 11, 1938 to the late Roy Adam and Ollie Beatrice Taylor Huffman. He served as a member of the 101st Airborne Division “Screaming Eagles” and in Vietnam with the 5th US Army Special Forces “Green Berets”. He was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Siloam, NC. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his grandson Jeremiah “Bam-Bam” Baker and brother Robert Victor Huffman. Surviving are his daughter Tammy “Dell” Huffman of Mooresville, NC; sons and daughters-in-law David Martin and Lynn Huffman of Mt. Airy,; Stuart Lee and Denise Huffman of Siloam; grandchildren Joshua and Bianca Corder, Jena Caudle, Jessica and Joe Harpe, Greyson Inscore, Whitney Huffman; great-grandchildren Taylor Sierra Caudle, Gavin Corder, Dakota Caudle, Aspen Caudle, Parker Corder, Wyatt Harpe, and Zoey Harpe, multiple nieces, nephews, family members and best friend and brother in arms Walt Jordan. The family will receive friends at Poplar Springs Baptist Church at 1:00 PM, December 15, 2016 with burial to follow in the cemetery where he be reunited with soulmate. Curtis Ponder and members of the family will conduct the service. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the VFW Mt. Airy Post 2019, supporting all of those who have proudly served their country or to Cub Scout Pack 166, 152 Saye Place, Mooresville, NC, in honor of his great-grandchildren and values and discipline Mr. Huffman treasured throughout his life. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Huffman Family.
