Born August 4, 1925, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Ray and Ida (Mauer) Myers. On May 18, 1947, she married Ray R. Walker in Burlington. They later divorced.
Arlene was a teacher for one room schools around the area and Sperry.
She graduated from Winfield High School in 1943. She later attended Iowa Wesleyan College.
She was active in the Latty United Church of Christ. Arlene was a farm wife; she enjoyed singing and spending time outdoors. She also loved Christmas, painting and ceramics, but most of all, Arlene loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Marcella Noss.
