Lena Gaggini Sherry, 95, of Harmar, formerly of Cadogan, died Wednesday (June 11, 2003) at Harmar Village Care Center in Harmar.
Born July 12, 1907, in Austria, she had been a Cadogan resident since 1920.
At one time, she worked at Greenbaum's Furniture Store in Ford City.
Mrs. Sherry was a member of St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church in Cadogan and the Ford City American Legion Auxiliary.
She enjoyed traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph Gaggini of Ford City and Norman Gaggini of Indiana, Pa.; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 13 great great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Ann (Stanley) Kaczor and Elvira Felix, both of Cadogan.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Louis Gaggini in 1946; her second husband, Herbie Sherry in 1963; a son, Frederick Gaggini; her parents, Rudolph and Maria Pizzadaz Chemelli; two brothers, Merle and Rudolph Chemelli; and three sisters, Isabel Daquilante, and Josephine and Gina Chemelli.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the MANTINI FUNERAL HOME INC., 701 Sixth Ave., Ford City, where a prayer service is set for 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Christian Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in
St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Cadogan, with the Rev. Edward Volz as celebrant. Parish Wake services will be held at 7:30 p.m. tonight in the funeral home. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, East Franklin.
