Sandra G. Graves, 76, of Blossom passed away Sunday, Dec. 11, 2016.

Sandra, the daughter of Earl Loyd Crawford and Margaret Coplin Tow Crawford, was born Oct. 25, 1940, in Blossom.

In 1958, she graduated as Salutatorian of her class at Blossom High School. Sandra then attended Paris Junior College and Abilene Christian University. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from East Texas State University where she later did other graduate work.

Sandra retired from Prairiland High School, as a home economics teacher, following a career in education that spanned more than thirty years. She was active in Retired Teachers and always joined the retired teachers from Prairiland at their luncheon.

She was a member of Blossom Church Christ where she was the longest standing member of the church having gone through the original church and two building projects.

Sandra's greatest joy in life was her family and especially her five grandchildren. She attended their ballgames and all their activities. Sandra's home was also a joy to her, and she always wanted anyone who entered to feel welcome.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Billie Ann Crawford Hamman, two nephews, Mark Hamman and Jason Landers and one niece, Juli Hamman.

Survivors include her husband John Henry Graves, whom she married on July 12, 1963, building fifty-three years of family and memories, a son, Phil Graves & wife Jeannie of Bonham, a daughter, Mandy Ray & husband Chuck of Blossom, five grandchildren, Bryce, Baylee, and Kylee Graves of Bonham and Hailey and Hannah Ray of Blossom, a sister, Judy Landers & husband Paul of Paris, a brother-in-law, Christy Hamman of DeSoto, a niece, Amy Hamman Wallace & husband Greg of Arlington, a nephew, Jon Landers & wife Shelley of Paris along with several great nephews & great nieces and a plethora of friends.

Services are at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, at College Church of Christ with Evan Butler & Lanny Mathews officiating. Burial will follow in Knights of Honor Cemetery at Blossom.
