Ted Weldon Morris, 80, widower of Nina Mills Morris, died at home Sunday, December 11, 2016.

Mr. Morris was born in September 5, 1936, in Georgetown, a son of the late Alvie Gleaton Morris and the late Ellen Louise McElveen.

He grew up in Georgetown County and lived most of his life there. He was a retired employee of Young Brothers logging company and also retired after twenty-three years of service in the South Carolina Army National Guard.

He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.

He was survived by two daughters, Grace M. (Noel) Cordial of Beaufort and Sara M. (Steve) Jordan of Andrews; six grandchildren, Aimee Jordan and Staci Jordan, both of Andrews, Maura Cordial of Sydney, Australia, Lt. Brendan (Sarah) Cordial, USN, of Bowie, Maryland, Kate C. (Ben) Whitehead of Alexandria, Virginia, and Ciaran Cordial of Beaufort; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Thursday, December 15, 2016, in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Pastor Vickie Powell officiated. Burial followed in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.

Mayer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
