B.P. served in the Navy at the end of World War II. He had a fulfilling career with the United States Postal Service. His final role was Postmaster of Brunswick and the Golden Isles. In retirement he and his wife did extensive international travelling.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife Mildred Anglin Harris. He is survived by his son Barry P. Harris IV, daughter-in-law Paula D. Burleson, and one sister Betty M. Tumlin (Ray).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 664 Scranton Rd #103, Brunswick, GA 31520.
Visitation will be held at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home 11 a.m. – 1p.m., on Wednesday, December 14, 2016.
