LACY, Sister Virginia A Sister of Notre Dame de Namur, born in Cincinnati, OH, died on December 1, 2016, at the age of 85, in the 68th year of her religious life. Her passing is mourned by her Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, by beloved family members and a multitude of friends and former co-workers. Sister actively ministered in various capacities; elementary teacher and principal in Chicago, IL, Cincinnati, and Lebanon, OH; Community Coordinator and Director of Gerontology at Mt. Notre Dame Convent in Reading, OH; assistant superintendent of schools in the Cincinnati Archdiocese, Northern region, Pastoral Minister at St. Benedict the Moor parish in Dayton; and assistant manager of Hoover Place also in Dayton, OH. Virginia became an active member of the community at Mt. Notre Dame Health Center after her retirement in 2014. There will be no visitation since Sister Virginia donated her body to science. A Memorial Mass will be held at Mount Notre Dame Health Center, 699 E. Columbia Avenue, Cincinnati, OH (513-821-7448), on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Retirement Fund of the Sisters of Notre Dame, 701 E. Columbia Avenue, Cincinnati OH, 45215.
