BETTE J. ERWIN SPRAGUE, PhD. December 8, 2006 Age 69 of Beverly Hills.

Born in Minnesota, she got her PhD in psychology at Wayne State University with internship at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Erwin had a challenging career in clinical psychology, treating patients and training therapists. She taught at the University of Michigan, where she was voted teacher of the year in 1975, also at Wayne State. She wrote the book "Tests Without Trauma".

Dr. Erwin ran for the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate twice on the Libertarian ticket.

She retired from clinical work though continued to assist other therapists and run a dating service for seniors "Late Date".

She liked cats and horses and was a dedicated NASCAR fan.

Wife of the late Samuel Sprague. Daughter of Miriam Erwin of MN. Sister of Richard Erwin, Dr. James Erwin, Steve Erwin and Dr. Carol Erwin. Also survived by her cat, Michigan.
