Edna Jean Hampton, 78, passed away January 9, 2007 at Community Hospital South. She was a resident of Greenwood. She was born January 31, 1928 in Letcher, Kentucky to the late Solomon and Dora (Dixon) Hampton. She married Goebel "Pop" Hampton on August 24, 1946 and he preceded her in death on September 12, 2006. She is survived by two sons, Keith and Donna Hampton of Martinsville, and Terry and Andrea Hampton of Greenwood; four grandchildren, Lynn Hampton, Tina Fuson, Jennifer Hampton, and Katie Hampton; and two great grandchildren, Jacob Pell and Nick Baxter.
