Marian Ruth Sanders was born Marian Ruth Waltz in Montoursville Pennsylvania. She married her husband Edsel Sanders at the age of 18 and had 4 children with him, 5 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Richard Allen Sanders who passed at the age of 3, and her husband Edsel in 1991. She was survived by one son and 2 daughters. Marian worked as a cashier for Bashas for 30 years, and then volunteered in the community and at a local small business for many years. Marian had a smile that would light up any room, and a heart of gold. She was the matriarch of the family, known affectionately as "Meme" and an example of strength and grace. She had 3 dogs over the years that were her babies, a terrier named Murphy, a Carine terrier named Desi, and a Pit bull Terrier named Aspen. She was raised a Baptist and attended Word of Grace Christian church in Mesa, Arizona. Marian was an avid reader, skilled at crossword puzzles, well traveled, and a phenomenal cook. She cared for her husband, mother, and Dad in their old ages, and played an active role in the lives of all of her grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
