Gary Kent Doom, age 72, of Kuttawa, KY died Sunday, December 11, at his home. He was retired General Manager of Vulcan Materials in Lake City, a member of Kuttawa First Baptist Church and National Rifle Association.

He is survived by his wife, Lou Etta Bridges Doom, Kuttawa, KY; one son, Sean Cotham & wife, Dawn, Eddyville, KY; two daughters, Kenna Elkins & husband, Frankie, Benton, KY and DeeAnn Wallace, Benton, KY; one sister, Dorinda Allen, & husband, Donnie, Dawson Springs, KY; and five grandchildren, Caleb Wallace, Sophie Wallace, Piper Cotham, Sloan Cotham and River Cotham.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Ernestine Creason Doom.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Tuesday, December 13, at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville, KY and from 9-11 am Wednesday, December 14 at Kuttawa First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday at the church with Rev. Carl Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Kuttawa Cemetery.
