Deseret News, Dec. 14, 1997. Obituary: Sperry C. Rollins, 82, died Dec. 10, 1997 in Roseville, California. Born January 14, 1915 in Orderville, Utah to James Harrison and Emma Charlotte Covington Rollins. Married Marian Kathryn (Kay) Buehler June 12, 1941 at Bristol Silver Mines, Nevada.He was a miner, farmer and in sales. He loved the mountains, lakes and desert canyons. Was an avid boater and hunter. He had a great sense of humor, and was known for his honesty. He loved his family and enjoyed life.

Survived by his wife of St. George; daughter, Mrs. J. Larry (Shauna) Antczak, Taylorsville, UT; three sons, Doug and Mary Rollins, Rocklin, CA; Robert Rollins, Panaca, NV; Scott and Susan Rollins, Poway, CA; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lorna Reaney, Las Vegas, NV; and Madge Horn, Tooele, UT.

Preceded in death by a brother, Merle; two sisters, LaPrele and Colleen; and a grandson, Travis. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 18, 1997 at 11 a.m. in the Midway 1st Ward (250 E. 200 S.). Friends may call Wednesday from 6-7:30 p.m. at Olpin Mortuary (288 N. Main) and Thursday one hour prior at the church. Interment will be in the Midway Cemetery (500 S. 700 W.).
