Elizabeth was born in Martinsville, Virginia on May 31, 1920 to the late Jesse and Jessie Clift Wyatt. She was married for 19 years to the late Sherrod M. Taylor and to the late Spillman W. Grice for 42 years. Elizabeth retired from Civil Service at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base after 32 years of service. She was a member of First Christian Church. Elizabeth leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love and support for the people she cared about. Her enthusiasm and charm will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Dr. Fred Clarke officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 12, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Carolyn T. Edmundson and husband Dean of Goldsboro; three grandchildren, Angela Campbell and husband Darrell, Glen Taylor Jr. and wife Donna, and Taylor Edmundson; four great-grandchildren, Kimberly Campbell, Mason Taylor, Grayson Taylor and Brennan Taylor; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Glen M. Taylor.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her memory to First Christian Church, 1609 Ash Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
