BAIRD, GEORGE M. JR.
Age 80, of Tabernacle, passed away Monday, January 8, 2007, at the Samaritan Inpatient Hospice, Mt. Holly.
Born in Camden, Mr. Baird resided in Pennsauken before moving to Tabernacle 30 years ago. George was an active member of Christus Evangelical Lutheran Church for many years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during WWII, and belonged to the Collingswood Cloud Lodge #101 F&AM and the Excelsior Consistory Scottish Rite 32nd degree. He retired from Texaco Eagle PointRefinery, Westville, NJ.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lillian E. (nee Kohlmyer) Baird; his son, George M. Baird III of Medford Lakes; his daughter, Barbara L. Pye of Tabernacle; his sister, Stella Malsberger of Mt. Ephraim; two grandchildren, Stephanie and Brandon Pye; and manynieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call on Friday, January 12, 2007, from 9:30-11 AM, at the MATHIS FUNERAL HOME, 58 N. Main St., Medford, (609) 654-2439. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM, at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill, NJ.
