Jack Eugene Peters, age 93, gained his heavenly reward on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Washington Regional Medical Center, in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

He was born on September 5, 1923 in Mountainburg, Arkansas to Harrison and Sadie (Harris) Peters.

Jack was raised in Mountainburg and spent most of his life there.

He graduated from Mountainburg High School.

He served in both the European and Pacific theaters of World War II as a Navy Seabee.

He was retired from the Social Security Administration.

Jack served on the Mountainburg School Board and taught Sunday school at the Mountainburg Presbyterian Church for 40 years. He was a lifelong student of the Bible and continued his Sunday School Ministry at the Black Oak Baptist Church after he remarried and moved to Fayetteville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joe, Jim and Phil; sister, Neva; and by his wife of 58 years, Glynda "Jim" (Turner) Peters Turner.

Jack is survived by his daughter, Donna Faehling of Myerstown, Pennsylvania; his son, Phil of Fort Smith; granddaughters, Jessie West of Oklahoma City, and Jodi Lee of Little Rock; grandson, David Faehling (and his four children) of Myerstown, Pennsylvania; and Jack's loving wife of 13 years, Bobbie Peters of Fayetteville.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Ocker Chapel of Alma. Justin Allen and Eric Howerton will officiate the services with musical accompaniment from Elaine Bowlin.

Pallbearers are Rick McClarrinon, Brent Bennett, Dale Reed, Mike Cruse, Ron Wey and Buddy Peoples.

Honorary pallbearers are Mike Balazic, Kelly Rogers, Kenneth Coe, Wendell Boardman, Rick Boaz, Lou Godfirnon, Darwin Lewis, James Guess and Harold Davis.

Interment in Conley Cemetery, at Mountainburg.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, Arkansas.
