Mr. Chester Allen "Bubba" Carter, Jr., age 66, a resident of Red Bay, Florida passed away Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016. He was born Oct. 17, 1950, in Panama City, Florida.

Chester was a 1968 graduate of Bay High School and a 38 year employee of the Panama City Paper Mill. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge F & AM ACME Lodge #222, Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, Panama City, Florida. Chester enjoyed time with his family, hunting, fishing, and exploring his land in Walton County. He is preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Evelyn Carter.

Chester is survived by his wife of 44 years, Gail Smith Carter; daughter Christal Wagner and son-in-law Robert, daughter Melanie Carter; grandchildren Isobel Wagner and Carter Davis, and his pet dog "Boo Boo".

The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast and Covenant Hospice.

Celebration of life services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Covenant Care Hospice at West Florida Hospital, in Chester's memory; at 8333 North Davis Highway, Pensacola, Florida 32514.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
