She was born November 9th, 1928 in Fredericksburg, Texas the daughter of Otto A. Eckhardt and Antonie Selma Braeutigam.
Worked as a civil services employee in San Antonio, Texas.
Preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Joy Wiemers, husband, Al, two sisters, Esther Williams, Norma Hoffmann, three brothers, Clements, Alvin and Gilbert Eckhardt.
She is survived by two daughters & spouses, Suzanne and Stephen Wertheim of Kendalia, TX and
Nancy and Keith Lindig of Stonewall, TX, six grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren, three brothers & spouses, Victor & Josie Eckhardt, Donald & Carroll Eckhardt all of Fredericksburg, and Eric & Gladys Eckhardt of Yoakum, Texas, brother in law, Boyce Hoffmann of Fredericksburg.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 16th, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. in the Bethany Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg, with Pastor Casey Zesch officiating.
Graveside services and interment will follow in Der Stadt Friedhof Cemetery in Fredericksburg.
Those who so desire may make memorial contributions in her memory to Gentiva Hospice, Bethany Lutheran Church, or to the charity of ones choice.
Visitation for Adeline Carter will be on Thursday afternoon from 4 to 6:00 P.M. and on Friday morning from 7 to 8:15 A.M. in the Schaetter Funeral Home in Fredericksburg, and from 9 to 10:00 A.M. in the Bethany Church.
