He was living in 1870 in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana with his wife, daughter, and brother-in-law Ambrose Braffett. He was living in 1880 in Newport, Campbell County, Kentucky with his wife, daughter, and son. He died, probably in Kentucky, sometime between 1880 and 1897 when his wife was listed in the 1897 Covington, Kenton County, Kentucky city directory as a widow.
