Mr. Roger Dale Griffin, 64, died on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at his home. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Tabernacle Ministries with Rev Kenneth Compton officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, December 12, 2016 at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home.

Born November 7, 1951, Mr. Griffin was a son of the late Marvin Griffin and Sue Long Griffin and the widower of Eunice Martin Griffin. He attended the schools of Gastonia, NC and retired from Springs Industries. Mr. Griffin was a member of Tabernacle Ministries.

He is survived by one daughter, Debra Griffin Andrews of Great Falls, SC; three sons, Roger W. Griffin of Great Falls, SC, Michael S. Griffin of Great Falls, SC and Howard L. Lyman of VA; one brother, Mitchell Griffin of Great Falls, SC; two sisters, Linda Naniot and Dovie Thacker both of Great Falls, SC; eight grandchildren, Crystal Griffin, Taylor Lyman, Shelby McManus, Donnie Griffin, Courtney Andrews, Brittany Bivens, Scott Griffin, and Logan Griffin; and five great grandchildren, Lillie Griffin, Madelyn McManus, Duece McManus, Zoey Bivens, and Elliott Andrews. Mr. Griffin was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kimberly Suzanne Franklin.
