Phillip G. Sherman 81 of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Tuesday August 23, 2005 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born August 6, 1924 in Medway, Ohio the son of the late George & Fern (Williams) Sherman. Phillip had worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He is survived by his wife, Lois Sherman for 58 years; daughters, Carol Sherman, Jane and Edward Dickard and Debra and Rodney Whitacre; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; one sister, Elizabeth and Sam Layne; numerous nieces and nephews; He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Brenda Sue Kessler, Baby Jean, three brothers, Loren, Roger, Willis and one sister, Lois Coons. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Friday August 26, 2005 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Services will be held Saturday August 27, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial at New Carlisle Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Pilot Dogs, 625 W. Town Street, Columbus, Ohio.
