Born on March 25, 1926 in Appleton City, Missouri, he was the son of the late William Russell Mc Connell and Bertha Niemann Mc Connell.
He was married to the late Carol A. (Camp) Mc Connell.
Mr. Mc Connell served with the Navy during World War II. He was retired as an Executive Vice President with Western Union in Saddle River, NJ, and was an avid photographer, as well as an amateur ham radio operator.
He is survived by his three sons: Michael R. Mc Connell and his wife Mary Heeney of Haworth, NJ, Dennis P. Mc Connell and his wife Ginnie Pastor of Warwick, NY, and David R. Mc Connell of Tennessee; also survived by five grandchildren: Heather, Ashley, Christian, Lauren and Trevor.
