He graduated as vice-president of his senior class at Lincoln H. S. in 1942. He then enlisted in the U.S. Navy as an Ensign and spent some time in the pacific theater on Guam during the end of WWII.
He subsequently graduated from Purdue Univ. with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, then received a Master’s Degree from Ball State. He, and his wife of 61 years, Ruth (Kressley) Reeve(who preceded him in death in Feb., 2005) then settled in Lafayette, IN. with their three sons in the late 50’s.
Reeve taught mathematics in Western, Kokomo, then Lafayette. He also taught Driver’s Ed. and refereed H.S. basketball and baseball all across the state of Indiana. He retired from Lafayette Jefferson H. S. in the early 80’s.

Reeve was active in church affairs, holding Sunday School classes in Wolcott, IN., then becoming a member of the Wheatland IN. Christian Church, along with his loving companion of 8+ years, Vera Faught, and her family.
Brent Cramer will be officiating a memorial service at Wheatland Christian Church, 3:30 P:M Sunday, Dec. 11th.
Interment will take place at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette, IN. on a date to be determined. Rest in Peace, David.
