He was born March 15, 1939 in Scroggins, TX to the late James F. "Cooper" and Alta Winkle Henry.
Gary was a member of the WHS Class of 1957.
He married the former Linda Rose McNally on 6th day of May 1982, she survives.
He is also survived by his only son, Brian Paul Henry, of Austin; sister-in-law Joyce Henry, of Winnsboro, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Helen and Jimmy Hitt, of San Antonio, brothers-in-law Ervin Allen, of Scurry, Tim Shaddock, of Rowlett; many nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, James Larry Henry on Aug. 16, 2016.
Gary loved classic cars and attending the car shows with his brother-in-law Jimmy. The Mississippi "Cruisin' the Coast" was his favorite event.
He loved spending time with his son Brian Paul Henry, not to mention his nieces and nephews. Gary had his own special reasons for how he felt about each one.
Gary worked at First National Bank of Dallas for 16 years before returning home to his beloved Winnsboro, TX.
He retired from Associated Milk Producers and then worked for H&H Dairy Equipment until his official retirement.
He was a member of Restoration Fire in Winnsboro, TX.
Pallbearers are Jerry Don Henry, Nick Winkle, Justin Henry, Joe Don Henry, Ross Hunter and Archie Lindley.
Honorary pallbearers were Phillip Morris, John Paul Hoffman, Stanley Wolverton, Donnie Lee Moore and John Oliver.
