Max L. Wright, age 86, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016 . He was born on April 30, 1930 to the late John Jones & Mossie Ethel Wright, and was preceded in death by his brothers, Woodrow Wright, J.W. Wright, Audie Wright, Iredell Wright, Earnest Wright, Albert Wright and Rex Wright, half sisters, Bonnie Wright and Kate Wright and three infant siblings. He was a Principal in the Anderson County School system in Tennessee for over 30 years. He taught adult GED classes and adult reading classes. He was a veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict, active church member, Deacon and Sunday School teacher. He also enjoyed farming and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, JoAnne Irick Wright of Dallas, GA;daughters and son-in-laws, Gwen & David Forbes of Clinton, TN, Sonya & James Ransom of Dallas, GA, and Vickie & John Rutherford of St. Marys GA; uncle, Oliver Heatherly of Blount County, TN; grandchildren, Abigail & Kyle Ruth, Ameila Spencer, Brooke Ransom, Samuel Forbes, Joshua Forbes and Harrison Rutherford ; many nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 7 PM from the chapel of Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Don Rackley officiating. Interment will take place on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 10 AM in the Concord Baptist Cemetery with David Forbes, James Ransom, John Rutherford, Kyle Ruth, Samuel Forbes and Joshua Forbes serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 from 5PM until 7PM.
