Mildred was born on November 15, 1919, in Douglas, ND, the daughter of Albert and Ida (Meslow) Nelson. Mildred was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Douglas. She attended school in the Douglas area and was later a clerk at the Douglas Post Office for several years.
Mildred was united in marriage to Gerald Talbott on October 28, 1945, in Douglas, ND. The couple lived on various farms in Spring Lake Township, ND, until moving to Douglas in 1964, where they lived and raised their family. Mildred and Gerald moved to Minot in 1995.
Mildred was a former member of Douglas Methodist Church, The Methodist Church Ladies Aide, where she held several offices, Trinity Lutheran Church and recently a member of Vincent United Methodist Church in Minot. She was a 4-H member and a charter member of the Douglas Senior Citizens Club “Nifty Fifties”, held offices in the Douglas Army Mothers and a former Sunday School Teacher.
Survivors: son, Lawrence (Ramona) Talbott, Douglas and daughter, Peggy (Dale) Anderson, Logan, ND; twelve grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Lorraine Nelson, Douglas.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; son, Steve (Pam) Tallbot, granddaughter, Traci Talbott; parents; brothers, Arnold (Maxine), Ilard (Ina) and Kenneth Nelson and sister, Ardeline (Robert) Reuter.
