MUISE, Violet Mary - 96, Melbourne, Yarmouth Co., passed away August 15, 2007, in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born on November 26, 1910, in Lower Melbourne, Yarmouth Co., she was a daughter of the late John and Helen (Saulnier) Harrington. Violet was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. She loved to read, make quilts, knit, hook rugs and cook. She was a great mother and will be missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. Violet is survived by daughters, Kathryn (Edmund) Doucette, Arcadia; Pauline DeViller, Yvonne (Lloyd) Fitzgerald, Norma Surette, all of Melbourne; sons, Arthur (Mildred), Nelson (Audrey), Gerald, all of Melbourne; William (Alma), North Bay, Ont.; sisters, Cecelia DeViller, Melbourne; Marion Pothier, Melbourne; 22 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 22 great great-grandchildren. Violet was predeceased by her husband, Edward Stillman Muise; son, Douglas; brothers, Edward, Raymond, Michael; sisters, Mae, Eva, Georgina, Mabel, Katherine, Mary, Nettie; grandchildren, Shirley, Eric, Frank Jr., Gloria, Jerry, Neil, Arthur; great-grandchildren, Raymond, Andrea, and one baby boy in infancy. Visitation will take place today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Sweeny's Funeral Home, Yarmouth, with prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral services will take place Saturday, August 18, at 2 p.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, with Father Wieslaw Papuga officiating. Burial will take place in Melbourne Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to Melbourne Cemetery, Our Lady of Lourdes Church or a charity of your choice.
