Mary was born Aug. 31, 1934, in St. Cloud, Minn., to Lawrance Borgert and Louise Battis. She went to school in St. Cloud and went on to receive her LPN license. She then moved to Montana, where she met and married Marvin (Moose) Clark on Sept. 8, 1956. They had six children and moved to Twin Bridges in 1963. They were divorced several years later, and she moved to Bozeman where she met Bob Salandi.
They moved to Port Townsend, Wash. and were married on Nov. 11, 1989. They eventually moved back to Montana and settled in Helena. Bob was a pharmacist, and when he retired they bought a motorhome and did what they both loved, traveling the country from coast to coast.
When Bob passed away in 2004, Mary moved back to Twin Bridges, where several of her friends still lived.
She was preceded in death by her youngest son, James C. Clark; her beloved husband, Bobby; former spouse, Marvin Clark; and brothers, Kenneth and Richard Borgert.
Survivors include daughters, Donna (Jim) Booth of Canoga Park, Calif., Patty (Roy) Severin of Helena, Yvonne Leatherman of Aiken, S.C.; sons, Larry Clark of Santa Barbara, Calif., David (Bobbi) Clark of Helena; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Loren Borgert, Eugene (Marilyn) Borgert; sisters, Donna (Steve) Raab, Renee Stang and Kathleen (Richard) Thometz.
Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, Jan. 16, at 11 a.m., from the Notre Dame Catholic church at Twin Bridges.
In lieu of flowers please make donation to Madison Valley Hospice or a book fund set up at the Twin Bridges Grade School in Mary's memory.
