Mrs. Charity Lynn Cammon Alexie, age 41, of Bethel, Alaska and Mr. Hans Ralph Alexie, age 37, passed away December 3, 2016 in a tragic fire at their home.

Charity was born April 6, 1975 in Newnan to Sandra Jean Jennings Mironov and the late Joel Howard Cammon. She lived in the Franklin area until she and Hans married and made a home in Bethel, Alaska.

Hans was born December 25, 1978 in Bethel, Alaska to Nells Alexie and Katie Alexie. He was the youngest of eight children. He had lived most of his life in Alaska.

They both were dedicated employees of Ravn Group Airlines. Hans was the lead aircraft mechanic. Charity earned a degree in nursing from the University of Alaska – Anchorage and was a registered nurse for the airline. Their attention to detail was important; Hans kept the planes flying safely while Charity saw to the health care of everyone.

Hans and Charity had a mutual affection for the outdoors, and the wilderness of Alaska gave them ample opportunities when they had time away from work. They loved hunting and fishing together. They especially enjoyed preparing their catch after a successful day.

They were both Baptist by faith, and Charity was a member of Centralhatchee Parkway Baptist Church.

Charity enjoyed quilting and crafts. Her quilts came in very handy during the cold Alaska winters.

Although they lived so far away, they loved their Franklin Family, and relished the times spent back home in Georgia. Get-togethers with family and friends were especially precious.

Although their deaths were tragic, they died as they lived – together, loving each other.

They are survived by their children, Alex Cammon and Madison Charlie, both of Franklin.

Hans is survived by his parents, Nells and Katie Alexie of Bethel, Alaska; and a host of siblings, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends in Alaska.

Charity is survived by her parents, Donald and Sandra Mironov; grandmother, Helen Cammon Nguyen; sister, Jody Burden; brother, Jacob Cammon (Erin); nieces, Kendra Burden and Swayze Cammon; nephew, Cooper Cammon; all of Franklin; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday December 10, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Centralhatchee Parkway Baptist Church with Doug Porter and David Bierley officiating.
