“Celebrate Our Angel Going Home”

Miss Frances Louise Douglas, or to some people “Bae Bae”, was the daughter of Freddie D. Douglas and Leah Ezetta Douglas. She had eight brothers, one sister, several cousins, and a few friends that she loved with all her heart.

Mom would say, “I had so many brothers, sisters and cousins there was no need to have a lot of friends. We would all just be with each other.” My mother praised God, cherished family and loved her children more than anything in this world. If you knew Frances this was no secret.

Frances attended school at Dripping Springs, Carver, La Vega, and graduated from University High School. She received certifications from both McLennan Community College and Texas State Technical College. She also was retired from Waco Independent School District and was currently working in the healthcare system.

Frances valued everything she gave any time to. She believed you take pride in whatever you do, to do your best, carry your name with respect because it’s all you have, and your word means everything so make sure you keep it.

Frances had three children Shenequa, Artalius, and Tarius. As a single mother she raised us to love each other, have each other’s back and most importantly to keep God number one in our lives. He later blessed my mother with some additions to our family. My mother’s heart, Nikolia Dominique Douglas, the special chosen child, Anthony Jordan Mireles, her daughter-in-law Nikolette Mireles, and Kevetta Inae’ Williams, Mom’s honorary daughter.

My mother sacrificed so much for us through the years and gave my brothers and me everything we ever wanted. She adored just being in the comfort of home with her children laughing, talking, watching movies, cooking, and just relaxing. No one could meet Frances Louise Douglas and not see the complete package of a great mother, daughter, sister, cousin, friend, neighbor, and amazing Woman of God.

Missionary Frances Louise Douglas was a Great Woman of God. She was both an amazing and powerful speaker for the Lord. Frances Louise Douglas had a gift that only our Lord and Savior could bestow upon his chosen child. Throughout her life Faith was the train that carried her through and the light that inspired anyone that crossed her path. She was truly a person who spoke the Word of God to all that needed, and she knew her life was not her own. So, her devotion through her journey with God is what meant everything because it was for Him.

Momma would say, “What will you do while the blood is still running warm in your vein”. In the midst of my mother’s trials and the storms of life began to rage she decreed and declared to her doctors, “IF MY GOD DON’T TURN THIS AROUND, HE IS WELL ABLE TO, ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE, HIS PLAN, AND AT HIS APPOINTED TIME. FOR THE JUST SHOULD LIVE BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT BECAUSE GOD IS THE AUTHOR AND THE FINISHER OF OUR FAITH.” The Greatness of her position as a woman of God carrying wisdom to doctors with their knowledge would fill their minds with the anointing of God that poured out of her only to change their lives in an instant.

So, my mother Frances Louise Douglas called on “The Specialist”. He is who changed her life, and The Father who gave us this angel came to take her home.

With Love, Her Daughter Shenequa Latwan Douglas
