Tommie L. Montgomery Sr. was born to Thomas and Bessie (Woods) Montgomery on October 18, 1934 at Fredrick, Ok. He departed this life on December 7, 2016 at the Quality Hospice Care Center in Midwest City at the age of (82) years.

Tommie attended school at Fredrick and moved to Norman in (1951). On June 23, 1953 he married the love of his life Ruby Murphy that he met at a church meeting in Norman as he rode in on his motorcycle. In (1971) he opened the Montgomery Electric Heat and Air Company in Norman. He became semi-retired in (2012) but still made house calls for people until his death.

He had a passion for fast cars and big engines. His hobby was drag racing and stock car racing in his younger years. He was a self taught guitar player and enoyed playing gospel and country music. He was an avid western movie buff and collected John Wayne movies. He even took time out to learn to fly and enjoyed having his private pilots license. Mr. Montgomery’s life was a busy one but he always took time to enjoy his family. Raising his Son and Daughter and enjoying his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. He loved attending each one of their activities. He held a special place in his heart for each one of them.

He was preceded in death by his Parents. Those who survive him include his Wife Ruby of the home, Daughter Donna Cline and husband leland of Noble, Son Tommie L. Montgomery Jr. and wife Kristi of Norman, two Brothers: Lonnie Montgomery and wife Louise of Lindsey, and Charles Montgomery of Georgia, Sister Corene Hunter and husband Jack of Blanchard, four Grandchildren, three Great Grandchildren with other relatives and friends.
