Levi E. French 88, of 925 S. Walnut Died Dec. 26 at 1:45 p.m. at Ottumwa hospital.
He was born Oct. 31, 1891 at Oregon, Mo. to Carter and Olive Smith French and lived in Wapello County most of his life. He was a retired watchman for a transit company and had worked for Lanning Oil Company in Agency.
He married Ida Belle Gould in 1912. She preceded him in death.He married Faye Monohon Oct. 10, 1960.
Survivors; his wife; step daughters Albert Heckart and Donna Cowles of Ottumwa; two stepgrandchildren, and one step grandaughter, and a brother , Olus of Oregon, Mo.
Services: 1:30 p.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home, the Rev. Errett Boyer officiating.
Burial: Agency Cemetery
