MCDANIEL, Sr. George “Earl” 71, of Tampa, Fl passed away on December 5, 2016. Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Flora McDaniel; sisters, Nora Tweed, Rena Sweat, Elaine Kappler, Laverne Shelton and Elizabeth Rizzolo; brothers, Charles McDaniel, Jr, and Ray Mc Daniel; step-son, Bobby Charret. He is survived by his wife, Viola of 32 years; son, George, Jr; Asheville, N.C.; John (Nancy), Ft. Myers, Fl; step-daughter, Becky Duran (Marcelo),Lutz, Fl; granddaughters, Gina McDaniel, Asheville, N.C., Carson Charret, Tampa and Aubrey Duran, Lutz; sisters, Edna Henderson and Ruth Wilson, Tampa; brother, Billy McDaniel (Kristen), Warner Robbins, Ga.; many nieces and nephews. Earl was the 10th child out of 11 born to Charles and Flora McDaniel, their baby boy. He was a longtime resident in Hillsborough County. He worked as an auto and aerial lift mechanic. Earl was an active member of American Legion Post 111 for many years and also an U.S. Air Force Veteran. He was a member of the Kingwood Retirement Community in Riverview. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11am at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4207 E . Lake Avenue,Tampa, Fl. The family will receive friends from 10-11am at the funeral home until service time.
