Lynn Higgs Hattaway

Mrs. Lynn (Higgs) Hattaway, age 68, of Dodson, La., passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2007, in Winnfield, La. Mrs. Hattaway was retired from the Winn Parish Medical Center where she worked for 23 years. She was a member of Hurricane Creek Baptist Church.
She was the daughter of the late William E. Higgs and the late Bertha (Cockerham) Higgs. Mrs. Hattaway was also preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Dan Hattaway; and her brother, Wayne E. Higgs.
She is survived by her Two Daughters, Dana Denney and husband Richard of Winnfield, La. Rhonda Duff and husband E.K. of Winnfield, La.; One Sister, Wyn Coons of Baton Rouge, La.; Five grandchildren, Courtnie, John, Cody, Lindsey, and Morgan; Five great-grandchildren, Cameron, Mary Grace, Cooper, Canyon, and Boston; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, La., where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Wednesday, January 10, 2007 and from 8:00 AM to service time Thursday. Funeral services will be held at Southern Funeral Home at 10:00 AM Thursday, January 11, 2007 , with Rev. Nick Verret and Rev. Rayford Higgs officiating. Interment will be at Hurricane Creek Cemetery in Dodson, La.
Bill Coons, Jeff Sabella, Jason LeVasseur, Scott Zimmerman, Lynn Cockerham, and Donald R. Boyett will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be C.E. Smiley, Mark Hennigan, Lonnie Wayne Higgs, and Randall Higgs.
