Robert E Hahn
Robert Emory Hahn, 81, of 211 Spruce St, retired Western Maryland Railway car inspector, died yesterday morning at Sacred Heart Hospital where he was admitted Saturday afternoon. He was a native of Chestnut Grove, Washington County, a son of the late David H and Margaret Jane (Holmes) Hahn. His wife, Mrs Mary Kelly Hahn died in 1936. Surviving are one son, Henry L Hahn with the Army in Korea; four step-daughters, Mrs Mildred Welch, Portland, Ore and Sister Zoe, Philadelphia and Sister Frances and Sister Virginia, Baltimore - members of the Sisters of Charity. Three brothers, Roy F Hahn, Hagerstown; Hezikiah, Cumberland and Jessie G, Wilmington, Del and three sisters, Mrs Gertrude Braham, city; Mrs Annie Foreman, Baltimore and Mrs Daisy Henry, Wilmington, also survive. Mr Hahn was a member of St Patrick Catholic Church. He came here as a youth and began work with the B & O Railroad as a car man in 1900. He left B & O in 1912 to work for the Western Maryland from which he retired as a car inspector in 1947. The body is at the George Funeral Home where the rosary will be recited tomorrow at 8 p.m.
