Was War Mothers President
Mrs. Helen Florence Forsyth Klinepeter, 81, of 4740 Count St., Colonial Park, died Sunday in Polyclinic Medical Center.
She had served as both state and national president of the American War Mothers. She was a past state president of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, was a member of VFW Post 1718 Ladies Auxiliary for over 50 years and was a member of the Order of the Purple Heart Ladies Auxiliary. She was an active committee member at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Lebanon, where she was recently honored at a testimonial dinner for providing over 1,000 hours of service to veterans.
She was the widow of John D. Klinepeter and was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Penbrook; the Ladies Auxiliary of the Penbrook Fire Company; the Penbrook Golden Age Club, NARP; and the National Council of Senior Citizens.
Surviving are three sons, John D., Jr. with whom she lived, David J. of Penbrook, and C. Herbert of Chambersburg; 12 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Fackler-Weideman Funeral Home, Harrisburg, with the Rev. J. Richard Eckert, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Mannsville Cemetery, Perry County.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
The American War Mothers will conduct a ritual at 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the Organ Fund at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2730 Booser Ave., Penbrook 17103.

She was predeceased by her parents, Charles N. Forsyth and Kate Shipp and a son, Donald E. (1927-1969).
