Rebecca worked to help support her beloved family of ten as a Machine Operator for Automatic Mold and Plastics. After thirty years of faithful service, she retired at the age of 48. Throughout her lifetime, Rebecca exemplified the qualities of a virtuous woman. She was a Mother to her own children, grandchildren, and anyone else in need. If you needed help, she comforted you. If you were hungry, she fed you. If you needed shelter, she covered you. She'll always be remembered as a woman who had a heart of Gold.
To celebrate her life and legacy, Rebecca leaves her husband, Willie B. Dixon; brother, Al “Duck” Beasley; sister, Birdie Dill; eight children, Willie (Shauntae), Levon, William “Scotter” (Lora), Mary, Barbara, Dennis, and Michelle Dixon; grandchildren, Dominique, Brandon, Charles, Darryl, Michael, Tyrisha, Orlandus, Diamond, Deeante, Tryvon, Dennea, Joshua, Dennis Jr., DaQuan, Darnisha, Sierra, Norman, and Kania; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, William and Elizabeth Beasly; brother, Tommy Beasly; sisters, Katie Beasly, Loreene Glen, Beatrice Dodson, and Lily Yarbough; and a son, Freddy Dixon.
Rebecca's family has entrusted her services to Alford's Mortuary. Services will commence on Saturday, December 10, 2016, at New Horizon Outreach Ministries, 56165 Mayflower Road, South Bend, Indiana, beginning with visitation at noon and service at 1:00 p.m.
