Funeral services for Maria Luisa Gray, 74, of Palestine will be at the Herrington/Land of Memory funeral Home Chapel with Paul Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Land of Memory Cemetery under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory.
She was born in the town of Pachino, Province of Syracuse, Sicily, Italy. She had lived in Palestine since 1974 and was a member of Court Drive Church of Christ. She had worked many years for PISD in the cafeteria. Mrs. Gray enjoyed cooking, knitting and sewing and loved spending time with her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luigi Spatola and Giuseppina Cultera Spatola,; her siblings and her husband Dennis Hendricks Gray in December 2009.
Survivors include her children, Elizabeth Williams (Larry), Kim Anderson (Rick), Patricia Rohde (Duane) and Charles Boykin as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
