Arnold J. Lemmens, 94, of Seymour, formerly of Black Creek, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2016 at Forest Glen, Seymour. He was born July 23, 1922, son of the late Martin and Elizabeth (Derricks) Lemmens. On January 31, 1965, he was united in marriage to Verna Runnoe Dudek. Arnold was a member of St John the Baptist Catholic Church, Seymour, formerly of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Black Creek. Arnold was a WWII Army Veteran and a member of the Seymour American Legion.He is survived by his wife, Verna; children: David (Nancy) Dudek, Doug (Rose) Dudek, Janice (Robert) Scheelk, John Dudek (special friend, Marlene), Sandie Kussow, Thomas (Sue) Lemmens, Judy Gosz; son-in-law, Norman (Rosemary) Texeria; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, John "Flash" Lemmens; three sisters: Sally Ossmann, Harriet Rokowski and Esther Gerrits. Preceded in death by his 1st wife, Arlene; son, Marty; daughter, Karen Texeria; son-in-law, Pat Kussow; three sisters: Anna, Jo and Martha; one brother, Bernard.Friends may call at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Black Creek on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 9 a.m. until the funeral mass at 11 a.m. with Father Brian Belongia officiating. Military rites to follow by the Seymour American Legion. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Black Creek.
