Bells, Texas – Ruth Ellen Owen was granted her angel wings on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at TMC in Denison, Texas. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that she loved dearly.
Mrs. Owen was born on July 26, 1939 in Dangerfield, Texas, and married Paul Owen on May 3, 1985 in Bonham. She and Paul were longtime Bells residents. Paul preceded her in death December 31, 2014. Ruth had a tremendous love for animals and she and Paul enjoyed hunting and fishing together and raising chickens and goats. She was employed by Texoma Regional Blood Center and worked at TMC in Denison.

Ruth is survived by brother and sisters-in-law, Jim and Eva Owen and Sherry Taylor; nieces and nephews, Joe and Cindy Moore and Brian and Christi Divers; great nieces and nephews, Grant, Amanda and Laney Moore, Keton and Lauren Parrish, Tyler and Samantha Divers. She also leaves her extended family – Billy Corbin and Rhonda Pedigo Heins, Trisha and Chance Corbin along with their children, Alec, Soraya, Kole, Ryder, Ashriel and Jackson, all of which she loved.

Ruth was known for her big heart and was a caring and loving person to all who she met. After cremation, Ruth and Paul’s cremains will be spread together across their home place as they desired.

Memorials may be sent in her name to Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church, 2501 Sunset St., Denison 75020.
