Doris Jane "Dosey" Reeves passed away on her birthday surrounded by her four loving children, family and friends.

Dosey was born to Hazel and Buster Walton. For 28 years, she was the loving wife of Glenn D. Reeves. Dosey and Glenn dedicated the greater part of their professional lives to the children of Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD, where he served as superintendent of schools and Dosey shared her love of books and reading with the children of Eagle Mountain Elementary as the school librarian. Even after retirement in 1992, Dosey continued to volunteer at the school.

Since 1965, First Baptist Church of Saginaw had been an integral part of Dosey's life. She considered the friendships of her church family valuable treasures.

Whether she was working in the library, involved in church activities or enjoying such favorite pastimes as camping or traveling, Dosey touched the lives of those who knew her with her unassuming nature, kind disposition and willingness to see the best in everyone.

Survivors: Children, Spurgeon Reeves and wife, Carol, of Saginaw, Walton Reeves of Memphis, Tenn., Charla Spraggens and husband, Gary, of Azle and Shannon Reeves of Saginaw; sisters, Neal Williams of Austin and Jack Chisholm of Abilene; and grandchildren, Glenn Dee Reeves II, Catherine Leigh Reeves, Julie Ann Spraggens and Richard Glenn Spraggens.
